Brewarrina, far west New South Wales. One of the oldest continuously inhabited places on earth, and one of the most overlooked. Still Country is a long-term documentary project attending to what persists — in landscape, in community, in the structures and objects of everyday life that official culture has not found worth preserving. The work does not reconstruct. It stays close to what is already there, and asks what it means to look carefully at a place the nation has largely chosen not to see.
